Cheesy Cauliflower Steaks
Ingredients:
- A whole cauliflower head
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1 Tbsp of Crackin' Kiwi Rub.
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Grated mozzarella
- No Bagel No Bagel seasoning and chopped parsley to taste
Method:
- Take a nice firm cauliflower, cut it into slices (steaks) about 2-3 cm thick - try to keep the slices together, - this can be a little tricky if your cauliflower is not firm enough.
- To make an oily paste. In a small bowl mix together, 1/4 cup of olive oil and 1 Tbsp of Crackin' Kiwi Rub.
- Lay the cauliflower steaks in a shallow oven dish or oven tray, brush the paste mixture generously onto both side of the cauliflower and then, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius until tender (15-20 min), then top with some grated mozzarella and a good sprinkle of our No Bagel No Bagel blend.
- Pop the steaks back in the oven for another 5 mins or until the cheese melts.
- Sprinkle with some finely chopped parsley and serve, delicious!
Alternately cut the cauliflower into small florets instead of slices, pack into an oven dish as a single layer. cook the same way as the steaks and serve as a side dish.
