Ingredients
- 500 g beef or lamb mince
- ½ finely diced onion
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 Tablespoon Crackin’ Kiwi Rub (or more to taste if you like it spicy)
- 1 egg
For the Tzatziki:
- ⅔ cup greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- Spicecraft Lamb Salt Rocks - to taste
- ½ cucumber, grated and liquids removed
- 1 cup coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage/lettuce
- 4 pita breads or flatbread
- Fresh basil and mint to serve
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine the mince, onion, garlic salt and Crackin Kiwi Rub with your hands. Dont overmix or it will be tough!
- Shape with your hands into long sausage shapes, press with a chopstick or skewer to make grill marks on top.
- Bake 12 minutes, flip and cook a further 5 minutes. Leave to cool 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
- To make the tzatziki: combine yoghurt, second measure of garlic, some Spicecraft Lamb Salt Rocks - to taste and/or a good sprinkle of Crackin’ Kiwi Rub.
- To assemble, spread a spoon of the tzatziki on a pita bread, top with cabbage and carrot, the sliced beef plus more fresh mint and a dollop of tzatziki.
