Crackin’ Kiwi Chicken and Veg sausage Rolls 😋
These Crackin’ Kiwi Chicken and Veg Sausage Rolls are packed with flavor and hidden veggies, wrapped in golden puff pastry—perfect for a tasty snack or party treat!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups chopped baby spinach
- 2 carrots, grated
- 500g chicken mince
- ½ c fresh breadcrumbs (about 2 slices of regular bread, grated with a box grater or food processor)
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons Crackin Kiwi Rub
- 400g puff pastry
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons No Bagel, No Bagel (optional, but recommended!)
Method:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, grated carrot, chicken mince, breadcrumbs, egg and Crackin’ Kiwi Rub with a wooden spoon. Season with a sprinkle of salt.

Roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin until about 0.5cm thick and roughly a rectangle. Spoon the mixture along the centre evenly all the way to the ends. Starting at once of the long edges, roll the sides into a long sausage shape. Try and keep it tight so the filling doesn't fall out.

Score the pastry evenly then cut the rolls and carefully arrange on a lined baking tray.

Brush each roll with the milk and sprinkle with the No Bagel.

Bake 25-35 minutes until the tops are crispy brown and they are cooked through (use a meat thermometer to at least 78 degrees celsius or slice one in half to check doneness!)

Cool slightly on a rack then serve warm with tomato sauce!
